Keer Tanchak (b.1977, North Vancouver, Canada; Lives and works in Dallas, TX) received an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2003) and a BFA with distinction from Concordia University in Montreal (2000). Tanchak's work has been the subject of numerous solo exhibitions including: JDJ | Tribeca, NYC; 12.26, Dallas; Old Jail Art Center, Albany; Best Western, Santa Fe; Conduit Gallery, Dallas; Johansson Projects, Oakland; and, in 2017, at the Dallas Contemporary. Selected group exhibitions include Texas Biennial 2017, Austin; Wave Pool Gallery, Cincinnati; Little Berlin, Philadelphia; PLUG PROJECTS, Kansas City; and Elmhurst Art Museum, Elmhurst. Her paintings are published in New American Paintings, Carte Blanche Vol.2-Painting by Magenta Publishing for the Arts and Fragonard, regards croises by Edition Menges. She won the Artist Fellowship Award from the Illinois Arts Council (2009) and the Brucebo Residency in Visby, Sweden (2003). Her work is in the permanent collection of the Dallas Museum of Art. Tanchak is represented by 12.26 in Dallas, TX.
